Classroom Procedures and Expectations

 

* * Please keep this paper in the front of your notebook all year. * *

 

I. Students should come to class prepared.

  1. Bring all materials needed for class each day – Social Studies Binder, black or blue pen, pencil, wide-ruled notebook paper, and planner.
  2. Assignments

1. Students are expected to complete the assigned work by the due date.

2.  Homework will be late if it is not ready at the beginning of class.

3.  Assignments need to be completed in the following manner to be graded.

a.   Assignments must be in pencil or blue or black pen. 

b.   An appropriate heading and title must be on all assignments.

c.  Assignments must be completed on wide-ruled notebook paper, not spiral paper.

d..  Students are expected to keep all papers in notebook until instructed to remove.

II.    Participate in classroom activities.

      A.  Students will be expected to behave appropriately and politely.

      B. Respect each other and their property.

  1. Students must be in assigned seats and ready to begin class when the tardy bell rings.

III.  Six Week Averages are derived from the following (as per District Policy):

  1. Daily Work,  Homework assignments – 40%
  2. Major Work (Test and Quiz)– 60%. 

IV.  Tutoring will be available before and after school. (T.B.A.)

V.  Make up work

It is the student’s responsibility to get all missed assignments upon returning to school.  Students have one day for each day’s absence to make up any missed work.
