HomeworkStudents are expected to read for 20 minutes Monday-Thursday. Please write down the title of the book and the page numbers your child read every day in their planner and sign it. I will check planners every Friday.

 

#30 Book Challenge: Since we will not have the Accelerated Reader (AR) this year, your student will have the opportunity to participate in the #30bookchallenge! I am challenging your child to read 30 books on their level throughout the year. Once your student has finished reading a book, he/she will complete a mini project/assignment about the book. For every 5 books your child read, they will receive a reward! HAPPY READING!!!

 

Grading Policy:

  • Daily Work 70%
  • Tests/Quizzes 30%

*Students are allowed to correct daily work to receive a grade up to a 70. 

 

Reading Plus: Reading Plus is an excellent program for students to practice reading skills. Students will be using this program during the school day. Reading Plus can also be used as an excellent resource to tutor your child. Students can log onto Reading Plus at home if they need extra practice or if they want to. Please go to www.readingplus.com or click on the following link: https://student.readingplus.com/seereader/api/sec/login
